Condolences

Condolence From: Maxine McKenzie-Cox
Condolence: I just learned of Mr Winslow's passing. He taught me in grade 5 at Dundas Public School in 1975-76. I remember him as a very kind and patient teacher who also taught me to play basketball, when I had no clue what I was doing, and who coached me in track. I've often thought of Mr Winslow over the years as I taught my students, reminding myself to be as kind and patient with my students as he was with his. Mr Winslow was indeed a special teacher, one of a kind. His students were lucky to have had him as a teacher.

Condolence: Sadden to hear of the passing of a friend and great college classmate. Met Winslow during my first year at McKinley Tech High School in 1963. I was a freshman on the track team and "Rabbit" Winslow was one of the star senior sprinters. Reunited at Saint Augustine's College in Raleigh, NC in 1965, after Winslow transferred from Knoxville College, and ran track together during our time at "the Aug". A very conscious Brother and wonderful human being. My condolences to the family and friends. A great writer, teacher, friend, family-man and superfast sprinter has left the Circle and is with the Ancestors. May the Peace of Eternity be upon him. Leonard A. Muse

Condolence: I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

Condolence: I have known Mr. Winslow for a very long time. He has taught me valuable lessons for first, second, and third grade. I remember him trying to teach me how to tell time. When I told him that I could finally read an analog clock. He said. That's why I place clocks on the wall for you to remember them. We finally had our reunion at my brother's wedding and I was so thrilled to finally see him after so many years has passed. He has always shown an interest in my family and grew quite a connection that I could never forget. Thank you for the lessons Mr.Winslow. Thank you for being kind and showing us love and life that it is precious. I am truly going to miss you. My outmost condolences to Kathleen and family.
