Obituary for Mykola Nick Pinchak

With saddened hearts we announce the passing of our loving father and grandfather at the age of 95, he is now at peace. Beloved husband of the late Julia (nee Bialek), who were married for 65 years. Loving father of John(Josiane), Mary Anne(Bill) and “Jaja” of Aaron(Nancy), Jason, Jennifer(Jordan). He was the last surviving and youngest of 8 brothers. Survived by sister-in-law Kazia Bialek and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and in Poland. He was a Stelco employee for 32 years and happily retired for 36 years. Our Dad’s secret to longevity was music, dance, and a precious wife. One of his talents was videography- always taking family movies, wedding videos, and many Ukrainian Cultural events. He was a gregarious person and could converse in Ukrainian, Polish, German, Russian, Italian and last but not least English. Special thanks to the staff at St. Peter’s Hospital for their special care and compassion during his last few weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetic Association would be appreciated by the family. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave. (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Thursday June 22, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Panachyda will be held at 7:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Ukrainian Church of the Resurrection, 821 Upper Wentworth St. on Friday June 23, 2017 at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
