Passed away peacefully at Orchard Terrace Care Center surrounded by family on January 24, 2012 in his 92nd year. Loving husband of Louisa (nee Mattioli) of 52 years. Loving dad of Gina(Kevin) Fitzsimmons and Mark (Glenda Hodgson). Loving nonno of Alysa, Jordan, Eric, and Blake. Survived by brother in law Emidio Mattioli and sister in law Maria Segato of Italy. Abramo was retired from the City of Hamilton. Many thanks to the staff at Orchard Terrace Care Center and Macassa Lodge for their care. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 796 Upper Gage Ave (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Thursday January26, 2012 from 7-9 PM and Friday January 27, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Vigil prayers will be said on Friday at 3:45 PM. A Funeral mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (305 East 37th St.) on Saturday January 28, 2012 at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum. Donations to The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
