Peacefully surrounded by her family, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, on October 6, 2016 at the age of 69. Cherished mother of Colleen Hunter (Richard Emms) and Kevin (Melissa) Hunter. Proud granny of Jeffrey, Colin (Gumper), Kiahna (Pumkin), Myla and (Irelynn and Brayden Emms). Dear sister of Fred (Elizabeth) Mooney, Marguerite Utter, Charles (Betty) Mooney, Pat Mooney, Theresa Williams, Anne (Gary) Engelbrecht, James Mooney, Colleen (Ralph) Simon. Predeceased by her brother Lawrence Mooney and sister, Marion Hay. Beloved aunt of many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. After leaving the convent she became a loving and devoted nurse. She found her home at St. Peter's where her colleagues became her second family, and her patients became her joy as she would sing to them, giving comfort in their last days, and where she came "home" to rest.

Visitation will take place at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage, Hamilton on Monday October 10 from 7-9, Tuesday October 11 from 3-5 and 7-9, and a chapel service on Wednesday October 12 at 12 pm. Cremation will follow and inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
