It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our Mom Phyllis McGrath on January 3, 2017. Predeceased by her loving husband Patrick Joseph “P.J.” and her daughter Kelly. Mother of Lynn (Armando), Sharon (Craig), Patty (Ron), and Laurie (James). Nana of Dennis (Lisa), Anthony, Priscilla, Joey (Susanna), Amber (Jas), Santana, Alex (Jessilee), Madison, Connor, Winston, Faith, and Sandy (Louie). Great-grandmother of Patrick, Marcel, Alina, Selena, Nathan, Lilyana, Adrian, Olivia, Lily, Emma, Nicholas, Natalie, Hailey, Chloe, and Michael. Survived by her siblings Evelyn, John (Mollie), and in-laws Faye, Alyre, Alex (Colleen), Irene (Bob), John Joe (Heather), Rita, and Sue. Predeceased by her siblings Peter, Marion, Mary, Patsy, and in-laws Lou, Dave, John, Jim, Margaret and Dick.She will be fondly remembered by Sheri, Shane, Susan, Scott, and Sandi, who were loved like her own, as well as many other nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Special thanks to her family at Extendicare who treated her like their Mom.
Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (796 Upper Gage Ave.) on Sunday, January, 8, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at Blessed Sacrament Parish (305 E 37th St.) on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow.
